Challenge International Belgium rebrands to Sealogis Freight Forwarding Belgium nv

Challenge International Belgium, located in Antwerp, changes her name to Sealogis Freight Forwarding Belgium nv. A name change for the sake of equivocality in the Sealogis Group. 

Part of something bigger

The sealogis Group is a French holding that groups together worldwide 30 companies under 3 core businesses: ‘Sealogis Freight Forwarding’, ‘Shipping’ and ‘logistics and Trucking’. Sealogis Feight Forwarding Belgium nv functions as an autonomic nv under Sealogis Freight Forwarding.
Managing director Edwig Laenen: “This name change is a direct consequence of the 2019th fusion in the group. Since that fusion some companies formed a new entity: Sealogis Freight Forwarding. All branches in this entity changed their name and we were the last company to do so. Sealogis Freight Forwarding is with 15 companies prominently represented in Europe and besides the European continent, it also possesses two establishments in the French Caribbean.”

The sealogis Group comprises 900 employees. 400 of them work at Sealogis Freight Forwarding and 35 work at Sealogis Freight Forward Belgium in Antwerp. The headquarter of the group is located in Le Havre, France. 

Excellent reputation and fame thanks to vertical expertises
In 1995, Edwig Laenen conducted the start-up of the Belgian branch of Challenge International in Antwerp. “We started off small but obtained an excellent reputation and fame in the world of shipping and expedition. Strategically we are focused on vertical expertise and we are known to deliver high added value and deep knowledge. Anno 2020 Sealogis Freight Forwarding Belgium generated a revenue of 30 million euro”.

Edwig Laenen talks with pride about his team: “After 25 years of being a fixed value in Antwerp, we are very closely involved with our customers. We have the knowhow at our disposal to create the best and personal - call it ‘customized-service’ - solutions for them. That’s what makes the difference on the present-day market. “We possess all the solutions and resources of a big freight forwarder, but maintain the DNA of a medium sized player. Strong in knowledge and added value. That’s what our slogan: ‘Creating Solutions Worldwide’,” emphasizes Edwig.
